The expansion of our in-house laboratory is significantly enhanced with five individual phlebotomy rooms and a sub-waiting area. Qualified personnel take patients’ vital signs with each patient encounter and most often draw blood for laboratory testing as predetermined by the physicians. The results of the blood tests are recorded and presented to the physicians for evaluation. They determine the need for blood transfusions, prescriptions for oral medications, injections for abnormal blood counts, along with ordering chemotherapy drugs for the patients who are currently on treatment for their diseases.
